Dot Media Launches Micro Finance Inititive
Starting this year each quarter Dot Media will be investing in small loans to entrepreneurs in developing nations and right here in North America. While our investment amount might be small we are doing so to make a big difference in the lives of struggling peoples worldwide.
Our initiative is split into two parts, charitible financing and profitable financing. Using Kiva.org, MyC4.com and MicroPlace.com we will seek out those asking for loans across the globe and contribute to their micoloan amounts. Both MyC4.com and MicroPlace.com pay back a small percentage of the loan amount which we will use to grow the amount we contribute to each entrepreneur.
Kiva.org does not disseminate any of the interest rate to contributors so we will invest up to a base amount and keep that amount rotating as the loans are paid back.
So far Dot Media has donated to entrepreneurs in Tajikistan, Uganda and Vietnam.
